To celebrate its first year anniversary, CI-UNH, in collaboration with UNH Celebrity series, invited CI students and guests to a performance of the Golden Dragon Acrobats this past weekend.
Sixteen performers wowed the nearly full house in the Johnson Theatre with feats of strength, balance, and agility. Two particularly outstanding performers were a female contortionist who balanced towers of drinking glasses with hands, feet, and head while moving in and out of unlikely body postures, and a male acrobat who piled chairs, one on top of the other, to the ceiling of the Johnson Theatre and did handstands and other acrobatics while perched atop the tower.
Hailing from Hebei, China, Golden Dragon Acrobats have performed in all of the lower 48 states within the last four years to sold out audiences. They are the only Chinese acrobatic company touring year-round in the U.S.
